It was a beautiful day for the 17th Bowlful of Blues. Starting out cloudy after a morning rain shower, the Sun eventually broke through. Temperatures stayed mild and it turned into a pleasant, cool evening. Perfect for the hot blues that poured from the stage. About The Bowl

The Bowl in Bowlful of Blues refers to the beautiful amphitheater in Newton's Maytag Park. The park itself is shaded by giant maple and oak trees. Kids and adults can cool off in the park swimming pool, which includes two large water slides. There is also a great frisbee golf course on the park grounds.

Newton, home of The Bowlful of Blues, is located about a 1/2 hour drive east of Des Moines, Iowa on Interstate 80.
